Overnight trip to Fordyce Lake / Tahoe National Forest

Another thing to cross off my list of places to camp out, right next to a lake. Surprisingly enough there wasn’t a whole lot of bugs. Temperature was quite warm with some gusts of wind that comes out of nowhere and without warning. The road in was rough and some areas were just way to bumpy for my liking -but yet we had to push on. We brought drones to get some aerial shots. First time using the GoPro Karma Drone so I was not able to get still shots – on my to-do list of things to learn.

Sold my tent last year so this trip I slept in the rig. Not bad at all except the light came through early dawn. Was quite warm because I layered up and had a liner in my sleeping bag. Slept on a Therm-a-rest air mattress which helped keep me warm.

The next day we had breakfast and headed out to Signal Peak. It was such an amazing view up there. We got lucky because there were nobody else around. One overlander pass through while we were there otherwise not a soul in sight. Just the whispers of the wind.
